SÃO PAULO – Last week 18 Educators from the Espaços Criança Esperança (Childrens’ Hope Centers) in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Pernambuco attended a training session in São Paulo to become multipliers of the Intel Learn Methodology.

The initiative is a result of a partnership between the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Intel, and the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to benefit 20,000 youth in Brazil.

Participants learned how to use technology and analytical thinking to solve day to day problems and enhance employability skills.

The Educators from Rio de Janeiro, Márcio Santos e Jean Silva, developed projects that will benefit disadvantaged communities and are already disseminating the training/concepts learned to other peers that work in the Espaços Criança Esperança in that State.

The training evaluation was positive and indicated that 67% of the people trained are prepared to work as multipliers.
