The first and second Classes of Training to Fight the Forest Fire – an activity implemented by Aliança da Terra (AT), part of +Unidos pela Amazônia project, promoted by USAID and +Unidos Group – ended in the final week of June.
The first classes, with 32h/class, trained 32 future firefighters. United States Fire Service (USFS) collaborated with this activity, and formed a partnership, sending 4 instructors to help with the training.
Meanwhile the second classes, with 40h/class, benefited 43 people and had the presence of Associate Chief of USFS, Mary Wagner. Grupo Fazenda Brasil also collaborated with this activity.
